Really, this place is just another spot for Disney tourists to lose their $. Despite growing up in the Northwest, I never recall visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.  It was incredible!My friend Rachael and her daughter Anna joined us for the adventure.  45 minute drives are actually quite enjoyable when you have another adult to talk to. For my morning runs I wear ear warmers and gloves.  Even when I'm inside I put on a sweater which I now refer to as my Mr.Roger's sweater.  I walk in, take off my jacket, and put on my sweater.  Today in rebellion I wore flip flops,  despite the 40-something temperatures. I completed my goal of running a marathon.  I am proud, relieved, and looking forward to doing another one someday.The journey began Thursday when my dad and I drove with the kids from Washington to Idaho.  I wanted a day to acclimate because the race started at 6,000 ft. elevation.  My training in the Seattle area has all been right around sea level. Danny got a dinosaur egg in his Valentine's bag.  We put the egg in water and checked on it daily (usually hourly).  After 4 days it had almost completely hatched when Dozer knocked the "incubator" on the ground.  The plastic dinosaur survived.  The glass bowl did not.
