PAINTING

I've been wanting to paint our living room for quite some time. I always knew it would be a major undertaking since we have high ceilings in this room. Also, because Matt wasn't too excited about the idea. I finally convinced him that I could get it done while he was at school and he wouldn't have to deal with the crazy mess. So I decided to go for it this past weekend while he was at class. Cara, Kelli, and Anne came over to help. I have the most generous and brave friends ever! We talked, ate M&Ms, climbed tall ladders, and painted like crazy from 7:30 until just after midnight. I had moved all the furniture and taped earlier during Danny's naps. Saturday I did the second coat, touch ups, and untaped. It made sense to shampoo the carpets while all the furniture was out of place, so when Matt got home from class we did just that. Nothing like coming home from a long day of classes and having a fun carpet cleaning party. Thanks Matt. Today I finally got everything put back into place. I'm thrilled with the end result!

It looks fantastic-very modern. I can't believe you undertook that huge task and that you have friends nice enough to help you. Way to go!
