What is it about feeding birds that is so entertaining? Whether it's pigeons on St. Mark's Square in Venice, macaws on the beach in Cozumel, or seagulls outside Ivar's in Seattle I just love it.
I'm glad Danny and Kaylee have just as much fun with it as I do. Sadly, though for a good reason, most parks in the area do not allow you to feed the ducks. Luckily Ivar's, swarming with hungry seagulls, is just a short drive away. What is your favorite memory of feeding birds?

London- Feeding the birds (topins a bag) Acutaly I think it cost a little more! Those pigeons even ate a sandwich out ot my hand!
We love Ivar's for that reason too! It's perfect for the kids and well like you it's so fun feeding them. Well have to have an Ivar's lunch someday! So cool seeing your pics'
I love those pictures! I have a funny story from St. Mark's square, although I actually wasn't feeding the birds. I remember being swarmed by pigeons when I walked to St. Mark's, but I decided not to buy any bird food. The pigeons still kept coming up to me, though. Actually, one pigeon kept coming too close for comfort, so I lightly kicked my leg in the air (not to actually hurt the pigeon, but to startle it enough so it would back off), and an Italian woman started to yell at me. I had studied enough Italian to get the gist of her comment, but had to look up the one word that I didn't understand - which turned out to be a swear word. I've forgotten a lot of my Italian since that point, but I've never forgotten that swear word (which is unfortunate, since there will never be an occasion for me to repeat that word). Sigh.
Anyhow, I'm glad that the kids have a fun time feeding birds. I'm sure they made the seagulls quite happy.
My favorite? Ivar's with Danny. Also ducks in I.F. with Livy.
San Fransico pier. Just beautiful. Miss you & your cute kids. Danny is growing up in the blink of an eye!
Yeah, it's all fun and games til someone gets pooped on...
I like Kelli's comment. I remember my mom getting hit right in the eye!
I used to love feeding the seagulls on the florida beaches as a kid.
Still sad you're not in Tx anymore!
