Wow!

This picture is a RARE occurrence. Danny fell asleep on the way home from downtown. As it was not his usual naptime, I just carried him and set him down on the couch instead of taking him up to his crib. And amazingly the kid just stayed asleep! Now, for most parents I don't think this would be that amazing, but Danny is a guy who likes his own bed to sleep. Normally he wakes up quickly and often when he is sleeping elsewhere. I thought I better capture this amazing moment on camera. Yes, his picky schedule/crib oriented sleeping habits do make me nervous for our upcoming trip to Costa Rica. Any tips? How do you get your little one to sleep well while you're away from home?

Umm, hello? Costa Rica? I missed the memo! When will you be there? Rick and I will be there July 26 - August 2. Email me! I need details, Carrie!

What a sweetie. As far as sleeping tips for a trip-that's tough. I mean he's already off the "schedule", but you can obviously try bringing his blankie, teddy or whatever else is familiar. I'm not sure if our night lights would work in Costa Rican outlets-but it might be worth it?

Also-happy belated birthday Matt! I'm jealous of your heelies:)

Have fun in Costa Rica!

Oh, such a sweet sleeping little angel. I can't get over how big our kids are! When did that happen? So...We're not cool like you guys, we haven't taken Ethan to any foreign countries (unless you count Utah). So I have no good advice for sleeping. Maybe he'll surprise you and sleep like he is on the couch...Good luck!

We took Kaya camping last weekend and she slept fine at night but she was a bit of a bear for naps. How are we going to fit naps into our fun-packed adventure?
